Reading Goals & TBR 2024

Like every year for the last four years I set my reading goal to fifty books on Goodreads. I never achieve this goal but I think it is a beautiful number and I like a good challenge. Last year, 2023, I read thirty books, which is not bad in my opinion. Now for this year, I would like to have 24 focus books (see the list below). Books that I want to read no matter what. But my most important goal is to read in different languages: English, Dutch, Russian, Japanese and Spanish; this will be a real challenge. All the Russian literature books from the list I would like to read in Russian. For Japanese and Spanish I still have to find some new books and finish the ones that I started last year.

In an ideal situation, I would read three books in Japanese and three books in Spanish this year. Wish me luck 🙂

Furthermore, I want to participate in an online bookclub (on YouTube), which is called A Game of Tomes*.

Below you see the list of books that I definitely want to read this year. A lot of them are classics, some horror fiction and some other interesting reads.
